a black & hispanic woman owned company
Our story
It all began with an idea. An idea that sparked from wanting to create a safe space to empower women of every ethnicity and race. LuluRose is a Woman Owned, African American & Hispanic Owned company, founded by Melanie Clavell.
The origin of the LuluRose name comes from the founders strong bond with her mother, Lourdes, also known as “Lulu” and “Rose” from her paternal grandmother, Rose, which was coincidently her maternal grandmothers favorite flower.
LuluRose is built from the strongest women that forged our founder into the woman that she is today. It started with an idea to create jewelry, stationary, and custom designs for our customers to show the love and support that was shown to our founder through strong and influential women.
meet OUR founder
Hi there! My name is Melanie Clavell.
LuluRose302 was an idea at the end of 2023, 2 years after losing my grandmother who was absolutely in love with flowers and her favorite being a “rose”. The sense of family and love was instilled in me by my mother, Lulu. As a child I remember my mother always making sure that I had plenty of paper because I would draw and write, which is why I think I fell in love with planners, reading and writing. As I have gotten older I fell in love with fashion, jewelry and accessories so much so that I started making them.
That’s when the spark ignited. The spark turned into an idea. Then the idea of LuluRose302 was born. I wanted to create a business that honored the 3 women that shaped me into the woman I have become and was centered on creating the things that I love.
My hope is that LuluRose302 becomes a household name and a symbol for every family to acknowledge, respect, and love the women that support them in their everyday lives.
